Mini-Implant MIPI
& MIPI components
MINI-IMPLANTE MIPI
MIPI is indicated for skeletal anchorage in support of conventional orthodontic treatment. Its primary function is to receive orthodontic forces for dental movement through a provisional tooth (stock tooth) cemented onto its head, enabling the bonding of brackets, buttons, or auxiliary orthodontic devices.
Installed vertically in the alveolar process, MIPI is used in the absence of a tooth in the maxilla or mandible — especially in cases of agenesis — assisting in alveolar space preservation while providing improved aesthetics, comfort, speech support, and functional well-being throughout treatment, including during eating and social interaction.

Key Differentials
✔️ Combines the efficiency of orthodontic self-drilling mini-implants with the mechanical resistance required for occlusal loads.
✔️ Head designed to receive an immediate provisional prosthesis using rebasing of a stock tooth.
✔️ Versatile: indicated for young patients—supporting space maintenance and preservation of alveolar bone condition—and for adults as an Immediate Provisional Implant (IPI).
✔️ High mechanical strength, supporting compressive (occlusal) and orthodontic forces throughout the entire treatment period.
Installation
MIPI mini-implant is self-drilling and should be placed after bone marking and pilot guidance using a Ø 1.5 mm drill.
Insertion may be performed:
-
Manual placement: using the MIPI Insertion Driver (code 4498) connected to:
-
- the contra-angle/straight handpiece of the Orthodontic Hand Driver (code 2899), or
-
- the Digital Ratchet / Torque Adapter (Digital-Ratchet/Torque Wrench Adapter).
-
-
Motor-driven placement: using the MIPI Insertion Driver (code 4498) connected to a motorized contra-angle.
After placement, proceed with cementation of the MIPI Capsule + provisional stocked tooth on the mini-implant head, as described in the Instructions for Use (IFU).
Key clinical checkpoints:
-
Confirm primary stability before provisional tooth fixation.
-
Verify correct infra-occlusal positioning of the provisional tooth prior to bonding brackets, buttons, or auxiliary orthodontic components.

MIPI CAPSULE
Prosthetic retention element for MIPI Mini-Implants
The MIPI Capsule is a prosthetic component indicated for use on the Immediate Provisional Mini-Implant (MIPI), functioning as the provisional tooth retention element throughout orthodontic treatment.

MIPI TRANSFER
Accuracy in reproducing the 3-dimensional position of the MIPI mini-implant.
The MIPI Transfer is a prosthetic component designed to precisely transfer the 3-dimensional position of the mini-implant from the oral cavity to the working model.
This reliable and faithful transfer ensures the accurate, custom fabrication of the provisional tooth, supporting improved fit, adaptation, and aesthetic outcomes.

MIPI ANALOG
The MIPI Analog is a prosthetic-use device designed to reproduce, in the working model, the 3-dimensional position of the MIPI mini-implant installed in the patient.
